North Mechanical Contracting, Inc. was incorporated in 1976 by Robert North with a primary interest in industrial process piping. Over the past three decades, North Mechanical’s expertise has grown to include commercial, institutional and life sciences clientele. Much of North Mechanical’s work consists of repeat customers, many of with whom North Mechanical has been working since the company was founded.
In 1997, Greg Fuller purchased the firm. With the objective of providing full service, and seamless service, to customers, Fuller also purchased Ramsey, Inc., in 2001, one of the area’s most respected service companies founded in 1968. As an additional customer service and efficiency feature, North Mechanical launched a pre-fabrication facility in 2001.
North Mechanical and Ramsey & North make a practice of investing in talented management staff, technology, service capacity, and pre-fabrication facilities, which has established North as decidedly competitive and as consistently one of the top full-service contractors in the Indianapolis metropolitan area.
North Mechanical and Ramsey & North have grown by 300 percent since 1997. Today, North and
Ramsey employ 15 management and administrative staff and up to 100 new construction and service technicians. North Mechanical and Ramsey & North insist upon the highest quality standards, have superior safety records, and are leaders in the Central Indiana construction community.
