Fuller received his journeyman plumber status in 1985, and began his career as a superintendent for Fryen Brothers in 1990 as superintendent and project manager. He joined North Mechanical in 1991 as project manager, advancing to vice president and becoming president and owner in 1997. Fuller is active in the local, state, and national construction industry and holds several leadership positions including serving on the boards of directors for the Mechanical Contracting Association of Indiana (MCAI), the Mechanical Contracting Association of Indianapolis (MCA-Indianapolis Area), the Indiana Subcontractors Association (ISA), and Top Notch of Central Indiana. Fuller also serves as chair of the Health and Welfare Trust and as chair of the Mechanical Contracting Association of America’s (MCAA) Institute of Project Management. Steve Skillman, P.E., Vice President Back to top (317) 610-2627  |   steves@northmechanical.com As a key member of the executive staff, Skillman works as a project manager, estimator, and design/build engineer on the North team. Before joining North in 1994, Skillman completed a four-year internship with Shambaugh, a mechanical contractor in Fort Wayne, and spent a year as construction manager with Messer Construction. In 2006, Skillman became part owner of North Mechanical Contracting. He received his BS in Construction and Mechanical Engineering from Purdue University in 1993, and his professional engineering license in the state of Indiana in 2001. Skillman was a founding member of the Purdue student chapter of the Mechanical Contracting Association of America (MCAA), and is a current member of the American Society of Heating, Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE) and the National Society of Professional Engineers (NSPE). She received education in accounting from Ball State University and has previous experience as accounting clerk for a car dealership and in accounting and bookkeeping for a new construction company. North holds professional engineering licenses in five states including Indiana and Ohio, and has more than 30 years experience in the construction industry. North received his Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Valparaiso University in 1966. He is a life time member the American Society of Heating, Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE), is certified with the National Environmental Balancing Bureau, and is on the board of directors of the Health Foundation of Greater Indianapolis. Prior to joining North, Foley was an intern for United Consulting Engineers and Architects. He received his BS in Building Construction Management, specializing in mechanical construction, from Purdue University in 2000. He completed the Mechanical Contracting Association of America’s Institute of Project Management course in 2004 and the advanced course in 2007. Foley was a member of the student chapter of the Association of Builders and Contractors at Purdue and is a member of Association of General Contractor’s Future Leaders organization. Paul Lakia, Project Manager Back to top (317) 610-2627  |   paull@northmechanical.com Lakia has responsibilities for project management and estimating on the North team. Between 2001 and 2003, Lakia worked as project engineer and assistant project manager for Pizzagalli Construction in Hillsborough, Florida, Way Engineering in Houston, Texas, and Mechanical, Inc. in Joliet, Illinois. After interning with North Mechanical in 2004, he spent a year with Sauer, Inc., in Jacksonville, Florida as mechanical estimator and MEP coordinator. Lakia received his BS in Building Construction Management, specializing in mechanical construction, from Purdue University in 2004 and was the recipient of the Herb Kreisman Award and a piping industry scholarship from the Wabash Valley Mechanical Contractors Association. He was president of Purdue’s Mechanical Contracting Association of America (MCAA) for two years and a member of Purdue’s MCAA student chapter competition team for three. He is a member of the Association of General Contractor’s Future Leaders organization. He completed the Mechanical Contracting Association of America’s Institute of Project Management course in 2006. Dale Melvin, Service Manager Back to top (317) 591-9304   |   dmelvin@ramsey-north.com As service manager for Ramsey & North Mechanical Services, Melvin is responsible for overseeing the service organization's day to day operations, service technicians, service and project sales, customer care and project planning. He began his career as service technician for Melvin Oil & Heating & Air Conditioning in Indianapolis. He spent seven years with Accu-Temp LLC in Indianapolis, advancing from senior service technician to service manager. He also spent five years with HBA Service, Inc., as service manager with a promotion to sales engineer. In the year before joining Ramsey and North, Melvin was branch manager for Johnstone Supply (United Refrigeration, Inc.) in Kokomo. Melvin completed RSES courses at HVAC Service Tech and attended the McQuay Centrifugal Chiller School. His accreditations include RSES Certification (Universal) in classes I, II, II, & IV.
